Statement of Discrimination
Members of the University of Olivet Community have the right to be free from all forms of Sexual Harassment which impede the realization of the University’s mission of providing an education that enriches lives intellectually, morally and spiritually to a diverse campus community. All members of the University Community are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that maintains an environment free from Sexual Harassment. As such, the University of Olivet does not discriminate on the basis of sex. The University is committed to providing an educational environment free from sex discrimination.
As a College of federal funding, the College is required to comply with Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972, 10 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. (Title IX). Title IX is a federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex and Sexual Harassment in educational programs and activities.
Discriminatory Harassment Policy
It is the policy of The University of Olivet to maintain an educational and work environment free from unlawful harassment, as defined below, on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, weight, height, disability, marital status, veteran status or sexual orientation. Discrimination and discriminatory harassment have no place in this educational community.
